My phone is a corrupted mess. This is what happens when I turn it on. It looks chaotic but it’s far more frightening. It’s scripts running at lightning speed, skimming through SMS conversations and Call histories. It dials numbers to prank call and sends texts full of nonsense to people on my Contact list. Try and explain to people who’ve asked you stop why ‘you’ cannot stop. They just block you. The script activates Bluetooth, switches Wi-Fi on, adds a VPN and turns the phone into a Wireless Hotspot. I assume, to communicate the corruption to other machines? Even if ‘harmless’ (and you can see how it’s not) it renders the device unusable (at best). HTC Service HQ had it for months, before giving it back to me as corrupted as when I took it in to show them. I took these pics of their CS ethos emblazoned with nauseating gall on their shopfront walls, because the brazen corruption is astonishing. i.imgur.com i.imgur.com What the..? I sat staring at those four foot lies whilst the HTC service rep told me my corrupted phone was fine. This little 10 min stretch after I turned it on is their definition of "fine". HTC are all about the customer. They respond to requests with a "can-do" attitude. They will insult you. That’s all they can-do. What can you do. Rooting your HTC phone forfeits your warranty. As warranties aren’t worth the fine print they insult you with, I stormed off to get it rooted. The guys that root Androids for a living glanced at it and handed it back with <b>…</b>
